Spring in action gracefully

The change of season is a great time to revitalise good habits.  The body likes movement which is why moving often feels good.  However its best to do it gradually and steadily rather than rush at it and potentially overdo it, loose confidence and even regret it. 

One of my favourites mantras for a healthy life is GLOVE. adopted from
 Gemma Newman, the plant doctor. It stands for;
Gratitude; Think of 5 things to be grateful for even if its being able to look at the tree spread their leaves or the sun rising/setting. It lifts your mood and make everything work better, and its addictive to yourself and others!
Love; Love yourself and everyone else. Let’s make Bishops Stortford a great place to live!
Organic; Minimise chemicals and go natural and organic wherever possible. Your body will thank you!
Variety; As the well know sayings explain 'variety is the spice of life' and a 'change can be as good as rest'. It really is true!
Exercise; Get everything moving, pace yourself, don’t forget to breathe and think positive with everything you do!

As always we are here for you if you need any help or advice to get moving, but remember Rome wasn't built in a day so, just take it easy and aim for a sustainable level of exercise for that day and time.  Hopefully you will soon be in your best summer 'swing' of things.
